When considering shutters the first place to start is what the shutter is manufactured from.

The four main materials on the market are faux wood, hardwood, PVC hollow profile and MDF shutters. visually they can all look very similar however all shutters are not the same.

Faux wood shutters

Faux wood shutters although look like wood, faux wood shutters are made from high quality HS Polyvinyl. This gives certain advantages over wooden shutters been fully waterproof making them the perfect choice for high moisture areas such as kitchens, bathrooms & wet rooms. Tpsp have 3 collections in our faux wood range covering all styles & combinations. Lead time as little as 14 days.

Hardwood Shutters

Our hard wood collection consists of 25 luxurious colours hand crafted using sustainably sourced hard wood. Offering 13 painted tones, 12 natural wood stains and one white textured wood grain. Quality craftsmanship manufactured in a huge range of shutter configurations possibilities; full height, tier on tier, café style, tracks & shapes making them the most versatile choice. Lead time 9 – 12 weeks.

PVC hollow profile shutters.

Our budget collection offers functional styling with a contemporary flair. Choose from a stunning range of full height, tier on tier and café style dressings to make that all important impact within the home. Lead time 2-3 weeks.

MDF Shutters

MDF shutters as a company we feel that MDF is not a suitable material for the manufacturing of plantation shutters and do not fit MDF Shutters.

Shutter Styles

Full height Shutters are an ideal option and a great solution if you’re looking for a little extra privacy. The louvres can be adjusted to suit your exact needs, offering daylight filtering whilst keeping your view private and your home secure.

Café style shutters the modern continental inspired shutter. Designed to cover the lower section of the window allowing in additional light from above, while retaining some privacy.

Tier on tier shutters consist of 2 panels that move independently from each other allowing different levels of light and privacy. An ideal solution to access upper windows whilst maintaining privacy in the lower section.
